The Pattern is from a Japanese book. The fabric is heavy cotton Chocolate on natural Polkadots and natural flower print on wine.

Stine's messenger bag for her confirmation

Stine is having her confirmation this Sunday and we are invited. So, with Susanne's help in choosing the fabrics, I made this messenger bag for her. I hope that she will like it.

The bag can house 2 large books (38 cm wide and 30 cm deep) and is furnished with a double pocket in the inside. The strap is adjustable to be very long to wear the bag across. Dark blue and is of the traditional polyester woven bag strap at 5 cm wide. Fitted with a magnetic snap for clouser.

The fabric is cotton, printed with the theme "Paradise birds" and combined with high quality woven cotton (Black and blue). The lining is of heavy woven cotton.

Can be washed on a short and mild programme or by hand.

Elsebeth's ECO shopper Chocolate on Off-white Polka dots

I'm starting my marketing campaign to promote my e-shop! Therefore, I'm sending out as give away bag to some of the people I know that would be interested in seeing and using my bags. I'm also sending some bag samples to lady weekly, monthly magazines.

This one is the first and I've just sent off with Tomas to the Rector of the design School in Kolding - Denmark. I hope that Elsebeth will like it and use it!

It is a good size shopping bag that can be folded and tide up in a small parcel. Washable in the wash machine on 30 degrees. Made of heavy drapery and is able to take a lot of things in.

Dear Friends,
I proudly present you a new milestone of my working life: www.sylviascreation.com. Yes! I've done it and now I call myself a self-employed bag designer and producer.

What a journey to go through and to now stand here and look back. It took me years of pondering and thinking, but effectively the last 3 months were hectic and fruitful: designing bags and organising the administrative and legal bit of setting up a business. I had fantastic support from Tomas, Emil (was not sick at all and slept through the nights...), my family and friends.

My chest is beating hard while writing this email, happy, satisfied, sleepy and grateful to actually get to do what I like and I'm hopeful that it will work.

I owe a fantastically big thanks and gratitude to Ying and Marnie who made my homepage /e-shop a wonderful reality.

Ying and Marnie are the owners of www.mandarinaconcept.com: Mandarina Concept is a supplier of content management systems. They design website and localize the website to the English-speaking and Chinese-speaking markets or other local markets in line with your business strategy.
They have given me the website I hoped for and have been fantastic, patient support in teaching me how to get started.

The website is now in English, but at a later stage will be in Danish and Hungarian (I take one step at a time). My aim was to have a homepage / e shop that is calm, user friendly, focusing on the products and not the background. I plan to have a newsletter function to keep the interested ones updated regularly.
In the e shop I intend to sell other products made by other persons who equally create unique and fine pieces or work, hence the official name of my company is: Sylvia's Creation & More...

Improvments on a bag

I've made this bag a long while ago and kept telling myself that there is still something missing and I´ve added the black feather boa around the neck. I'm very happy with the results.

I'm also experimenting with using white as a background in my photos (work might be needed on my eshop) Man, the colours change by the second and you can feel it in the photos, the colours and the personality of the bags... It is an other thing to learn by doing...

Large Shopper in Wax Cloth Brown Barok & Black

Rather large size (pizza delivery plastic bag) This bag has the advantage that should anything stain it, you can just wipe it off with a wet cloth.

Length 57 cm (that is 22 3/8")
Width 41 cm at the bottom and 67 cm at the opening (that is 16 1/8" and 26 3/8")

The edges are sewn with black cotton bias binding for comfortable carry and for the protection of the bag.

ECO Shopper bag Botanical Garden (Jananese pattern)

This is a bag made after a Janapese Pattern and is made of 100% printed cotton with the theme of Botanical Garden.
The measures:
Lenght: 40 cm + 22,5 cm for the straps. (that is ca. 15 3/4" plus 8 3/4")
Straps in total are at 43 cm long and 8 cm wide (that is 17" by 3 1/8 ")
Width at the bottom is 27,5 cm and that the opening 40 cm (that is 10 3/4" and 15 3/4")

Washable at 40 degrees (that is 104 Fahrenheits)

As you can see you can pack it down with the help of this ribbon fitted with Velcro to the size of ca. 12 by 10 cm (that is ca. 4 3/4" by 4")

ECO Shopper bags Paradise Birds (Jananese pattern)

This is a bag made after a Janapese Pattern and is made of 100% printed cotton with the theme of Paradise Birds.
